I got the same error and figured out how to get around it. Don't use the links above. Login to Metro with your phone line and PIN. Then, go to Phones & devices >> Tablets & devices. I was then able to select the Samsung tablet and added a line and paid $20. Hope this helps you out.

yeah, same here, now I wished I would have put my T-Mobile tablet sim in first....
I tried this it initially wanted a restart and then was stuck at the T-Mobile boot up logo forever but then got going. Unfortunately it shows no connection or unable to connect tho until you put in your metro sim at which point it's locked to metro

Got mine yesterday. It is slow and screen resolution is not below par but I can't complain about the $20 purchase price. I would be mad if I had paid $50

Turn OFF RAM plus under Decice Care-> Memory
ENABLE "Reduce transparency and blue" under Accessibility--> Vision enhancement

This sped up my tablet a lot.

EDIT: A7 lite

Activated my Metro phone line yesterday then updated my online account profile/address/email verification -- no problem ordering A7 Lite tablet for $20 afterwards

UPS account shows label created and on the way to UPS -- should getting shipping email later today

Got the error "Please contact us to complete your order" upon checkout for Samsung Tab A7 Lite. Card was charged but credited back right away. Called Customer Support and assisted placing the order. Got Order Confirmation email after 5 mins. Total charge: $20.

PS. I had a newly activated line for the Samsung A15 5G.
Me too, but the money not back to card yet over 1 day, the support said that the order not throught and no have order id or transaction id to track.

Just got an A7 Lite - wondering if I can stick a T-Mobile data SIM in the tablet - but also don't want to mess with any 180 day countdowns for possible unlock. Anyone have any thoughts?

My T-mobile sim doesn't have service, just old sim, but I was able to activate the tablet and it didn't say network locked issue like other carriers. My guess is T-mobile sim might work. I don't have one with service to try though.

When you login to your Metro account, did you see your Tablet and new assign phone number to Metro SIM?

Did you get cellular access when put Metro SIM to other devices?

You would need to order a new phone online, such as the Galaxy A15 5G, Moto G Stylus 5G, or OnePlus N30 5G, and then you would qualify for the tablet after a month. Probably still cheaper than visiting a store and getting scammed with unnecessary charges and then you have two devices which will unlock 6 months after activation.
No need to wait for a month. I ordered it using a two weeks old account.

How would you unlock this device after the 180 days? Do you just insert a different sim or is it like the other metro phones where you can check in settings that its locked or unlocked? I cant find where I can see if its locked or not in the settings
