I don't see the deal as listed. I see a second option that adds safety glasses and changes the price to 311$ but it says it can not be shipped to my address or nearby stores.

Hercules if you need sliding, if you dont need a sliding miter, than go with the Dewalt. In general the DWS780 is better than the Hercules, but it's also like $200 more. The hercules gets really good praise and apparently the stock blade is pretty good.

I mainly just want to cut PVC for some plumbing projects around the house and probably re-do the trim here and there. I think either of these might be overkill. Any opinions on that 10" Chicago Electric miter?

Looks like it shows up at this price on Business accounts too. I didn't see at this price then switched to business account and shows up at $299
