Triple camel says this is a trick. The price for this hammer was $16 through most of 2020 and 2021. Price fluctuates a lot after that, mostly between $33 and $23. Highest price ever was $41 about five months ago.

Might be a fine hammer, but this does not appear to be a special deal in any capacity.

So 3 years ago, it was less. Without a way to go back to 2021, that's not real relevant. With the recent data in your post, it's generally between $23-33. That's 25% to 50% off, roughly. It's about 60% less than the recent high price you mentioned. I would call that a deal.

As long as people understand it's not a 66% discount, it's cool. It does seem like a good deal. I wouldn't be surprised if they sell it at or below this price within a year or so.

Yep. About $1 less, ~3 years ago. Barely seems worth mentioning compared to what it's apparently been lately. Brass hammers aren't the cheapest hammers but they do offer some nice benefits/properties for a lot of crafters, and this doesn't seem bad vs the $25+ you'll usually pay for most others. Whether this is genuinely a good hammer? Who can really say with amazon reviews what they've been lately (a mess of fake/paid reviews).

Yep. It's all relative - what's available elsewhere, currently, or recently, and for how much (and how often). Nuanced.

That is the brand name. They sell a lot of automotive tools.

Brass hammers are used around engines and gasoline... in case anyone's wondering why you would want a funky brass hammer.
