In for one with $10 off $75 purchase coupon. Makes up for shipping not being free. Thanks OP!

It is coupon they send you if you subscribe to their email and text offers but it did not work for me. Listed item does not qualify.

Edit: the code they sent via text did not work but one they emailed did. So try both.

I got this a year and a half ago, great torque wrench so far, especially if this is the latest model that uses AA batteries.

Where you find the coupon?
Better question is where you gonna find a Sears store to pick up? In MA there is only 1 store left. LOL.

Don't get this, get the DEWALT one. It was on sale all the time including a breaker bar.
While that's a nice setup, this guy is digital. The Dewalt equivalent is around $230, which is similar in price to this Craftsman when not on sale..

I have the non digital version for $70. I use it on my lug nuts for my car. I kept stripping it from using too much muscle.
I understand overtightening or even undertightening if you don't use a torque wrench. But to go so far overboard that you're stripping lug nuts, I have to wonder what's going on there.

Most nuts and bolts are designed in a way that you can kind of feel when they're around their intended torque specs. Are you just that paranoid that your wheels will fall off?

Had this one previously and the knob you turn at the bottom cracked when trying to adjust it, I have read reviews say the same so be warned. It didn't have heavy use and was always stored in the basement in the container it came in.
Sounds like the non digital one where u turn to loosed and tighten the knob when setting the torque . Unless you are talking about the ratcheting head . …?

Sorry, you're correct this one is slightly different then the one I had, it was digital but still had a twist base. Thanks for correcting that for me!

Sears? Lol
South center Mall in Burien, WA has a live Sears. I was there in early December and saw that the old Sears gate was open and like a weird dream I walked through it ... The signage, brands, a lot of stuff was still there - no lawn and garden though, most of the floor space was taken up by appliances and mattresses, but there was exercise equipment, tools, and clothes! Walked right on through, as always LOL.

Exactly why taking these in to use the warranty for any reason will be difficult.

In-store. Based on Titans comments, I suppose I got lucky because 2 MODs looked up sears.com on their register, then did the PM. YMMV.
I was able to price match at my local Lowe's store.

If you change your tires, or brake service, or major engine work, you will need this, as the torque requirements for those jobs are around 100+ lb/ft. For best accuracy, you want to stay within 30-70% range of your torque wrench. Most 3/8 wrenches have range of 10-100 lb/f.
I'll add if you're only going to do tires you could invest your $100 towards an impact gun and torque stick instead. Easier to use, and an impact gun is more handy to have around.

This is not good advice. Are you talking about an air powered impact? If so, you also need to have a pretty large air compressor, or factor in that cost. I don't think you can get a battery impact for $100, maybe a low end corded one. Torque sticks are not very accurate as far as I know, this is a good way to over torque your lug nuts, likely leaving you unable to remove them by hand if you need to change a tire on the fly.

I think that most shade tree mechanics are far better off with a torque wrench than an impact and torque sticks. More accurate and far more versatile, probably way cheaper too.

Not sure about $10 coupon mention above but Amazon has it at the same price:

I do t know if I'd pick Sears over Amazon

Edit: I see, this one is not digital
I always notice a lot of deals on here are not always deals. Also not only in regards to this website but others as well where they put an MSRP when it first came out and now it sells for 150 on average, ie a product for 300. Then they go and put it for 100 and 66% off…

This is a REALLY nice torque wrench. I really like mine. So much better than the click style.

I bought both the 3/8 and 1/2" a year and a half ago for a little cheaper and I've been happy with both. I've used both quite a bit. Biggest tip is to remove the batteries after each use. It does come with a decent plastic case as well.
