Interesting. I was going to post the opposite. I have one of these and maybe 5 of the smaller oval ones and one of the e-ink ones. They're super accurate and you can calibrate them if they are not right on the money. The oldest oval one is around 3 years now and has been outside and still works great.

I agree with the above post, BT is a bit of a pain, it takes a while to handshake and then takes a bit to download, especially if you are pushing the two week max internal memory and are far away. Still, I enjoy using them and it's really interesting to see temp and humidity in places like basements, attics, and other random places and have a historical graph for it all.

Yes, Wifi would be nice, and yes, it's odd that the app has a temperature alert but it only works if you leave the app open. Kind of pointless.

All in all, at this price, I still think it's a solid deal.

I've got 4, minus whale add 2 more. I just wish the app would auto update... Pulling up and waiting for the BT to connect is a slight PITA.

The e-ink ones use expensive button batteries.

You can wire one 18500 battery or 2 AAs battery to the back. Or if you want something a little better, dollar tree has those cheap led string lights that work on 2 AAs. If you cut the battery compartment from those lights, then you attach the positive and negative wires to the inside of the govee thermometer. The batteries will last a long time and will be cheap to replace them when it's time.

I just bought the ink ones because you can see them easier. I attached an 18500 battery for now.

I really like these to use as a secondary in incubators, after calibration of course. If it's linked to your phone, you're made aware of any spikes or dips in temp and humidity. I've got two of these and plan on buying this pair. I'll be checking the govee site for the deal mentioned above, so I might be getting one set from govee and one from Amazon. Thank you so much for posting!

Does anyone happen to know if this govee bluetooth to wifi gateway will work with the thermometer/hygrometer in the OP? https://us.govee.com/products/gov...ter-3-pack

... why would anyone go through that much trouble when you can order AAA and AA models???

These ThermoPro ones are $18 for a 3 pack:
