The biggest reason people move away from grass is water consumption, so putting artificial turf over hardscaping makes perfect sense.🙂

Or not having to mow or manage landscape...

Is this actually a good deal. I might want one for under my outdoor swing. Wondering if there's chemicals that make it not ideal for indoor.

In the world of excess people hardscaping to avoid grass only to top it off with an artificial grass mat.

It would be good to lay over grass areas you want to kill off just so it looks good while doing it.

Sure if you don't take divots.

Not sure if this is the same one but i had purchased something similar to this for a custom golf mat - it was a bit thin so I purchased those cheap foam mats that you put together like a jigsaw puzzle (these usually come in square packs that are 5x5' or 6'x6') and just get some liquid nails to attach the mats on the bottom which will give it some extra padding.

I attempted to seed our backyard last summer and had nice growth for about 3 months but our Shiba Inu does her business back there as well and its left the area pretty patchy with grass growing in her most unused areas. I'd consider this route just to eliminate the upkeep of constantly trying to monitor soil health, watering, and reseeding after my Shiba kills another spot.

So you think people using excess water imported from Colorado to grow grass that typically shouldn't (ex socal) is a better option?

So when it rains where does the water go? Back through the ground, filtered and into the reservoir for reuse. ♻️
No it goes down the sewer. Many big cities are going back to landscape to meet their water demands.
Or do xeriscaping or use water permeable hardscapes.

You can find this a lot cheaper for more at places like Ollie's.

Does anyone have any experience with fake grass and pets? Would this be good for pets to pee and poop on?
