Single use kitchen tool. I'm using a lot of willpower to avoid buying.

Buy it! We have an older cuisinart one that we use all the time. It's a 7 egg one and my family has grown since I bought it, so I ordered the red 14 egg one now. Yellow seems to have gone up.

My kids favorite is the soft boiled eggs. Haven't used this Bella one yet, but I imagine it will do the job. These aren't that complicated

Thank you. I ordered the red one. My son has one and he loves it so I will be getting this one to try out myself.

I don't like single use appliances either, but this one is worth it. I have the single level one by dash. And it's great for jammy egress poor soft yolks.

If you have a pressure cooker (like an instant pot), it is fantastic for making boiled eggs too!

Have a similar version and it works great. Mine has different water amounts which are inverse to the number of eggs.

Like the reviews state, using an ice-bath can be extremely helpful to stop the cooking process and also make pealing easier. Another trick is to roll the egg which breaks the peel from the egg.

I too hate single use appliances, however, this will pay for itself in no time especially with Easter / Devil egg season approaching.

Place eggs in a small pot. Add enough water to cover them. Bring to a boil and turn off the heat. Set a timer for 8 minutes for hard boiled eggs or 6 minutes for soft-medium. Transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking process and prevent the yellows from developing the gray film around them. I love a good deal and I make tons of hard boiled eggs but I can't justify buying a single use appliance for them.

I'm curious so I ordered one. I seldom boil eggs, usually when I get a craving for ramen. The process of boiling water, timing and I also stir the eggs to make them roll around for a few minutes and this seems to cut down on that and waste less water to boot. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised and filled by ramen.
