My first setup was from there. Mtx Thunder subs, California 600msx Amp and a Kenwood deck. Man I miss those days.

My first setup was a RF amp + subs and pioneer speakers with a alpine head unit...did the install myself my car was torn apart for 2 weeks lol

Maybe for a haptic response setup, but car audio is generally lower quality than home audio.
Since the speakers have to deal with a lot of moment in car the foam suspension and cones are much heavier than home audio. This makes it much less "sensitive" and need alot more power to move them. For $250 your better off buying a $250 ht sub.If you want cheap home subs look into "pro audio" speakers like Dayton has some cheap setups like this, but you put the box together yourself (it comes disassembled).
