You can use this company based in Portugal, but make sure you use a no foreign transaction fee card on Paypal and pay in euros, if you don't want paypal to charge extra conversion fees.

I wish we didn't have the yearly prescription requirement. My contact prescription doesn't change, and $150-$200 a year for exams is expensive! You can get your contacts shipped from overseas, but most don't want that hassle or risk.

True, unless they check with the optometrist.

That's a really good price for the torics. I think like 50% off or more.

That's great that slickdeals has devolved into "how to break the law to save some money."
Dine and dash and save some money on dinner tonight!
The online retailers are required to verify the Rx with your eye Dr, so there's still a good chance it will be rejected.
How does my comment evolve to encompass the entire slickdeals community in your mind? If you were 20 y/o and needed to save $200 I don't think it'd be sheer lawlessness to skimp on one eye exam. And if you actually believe anything that comes after "the online retailers are required to...", then we are certainly on different wavelengths.

It's definitely a good price if true. But no one has confirmed it's replicable yet. And there might be a big processing fee, even though I didn't see one added in my cart or receipt (see my previous replies). YMMV I guess.

Sorry, my comment was more so directed towards you and a couple others on this thread. I apologize to the community.
If you really want to save some money, wear your glasses for a couple years. It's beneficial for your eye health as well.
Oh I know contact lens retailers don't follow the rules. Just because you can get away with something doesn't mean you should do it.

I am giving a company called interlenses from Portugal a try, but it has not been delivered yet. I heard about them on reddit.
Watch out for the conversion fees paying in USD on Paypal, you can use a no foreign transaction fee card and pay in euros though.

As someone who finally got laser eye correction in 2023 after wearing contacts for years (wore glasses and biofinity torics for 14 years). Get laser correction and be done with it. The sooner the better. It is truly life changing. The potential for problems is way exaggerated if you are getting it done by someone reputable. The procedure itself is painless and is both eyes in 5-10 minutes tops. You will wish you did it much sooner. Plus, recent lab testing has shown that virtually all modern contacts including biofinity have toxic forever chemicals that don't easily leave your body, which for me was the final straw with contacts.

The B&L Ultra are the best! I used to wear Acuvue Oasys and couldn't go more than a couple hours without my eyes bothering me/feeling dry. My optometrist recommended the Ultra and it's been a game changer. I can wear them for 12 hours+ without my eyes feeling irritated.
Everyone's eyes are different. I tried the b&l ultras and they constantly irritated my eyes. Then I tried the oasys and I could wear them 14 hours a day with no problem. The weird thing is that I had been wearing B&l pure vision 2 for many years with no problems and I would stick with them, but they're being discontinued.

I would love to get laser eye surgery except for 2 things. First the cost, second what happens if my vision worsens as I get older? Would I be back in contacts or glasses? Would you mind sharing the cost and if there's concern about your vision changing?

How old was your prescription? I tried doing one from 1800 contacts, and they said my prescription couldn't be older than 2 years.
I've gotten online eye exams for contact lenses before and was asked if I've had an exam in the last 2 years, but never had to show proof. They take your word for it.

Screenshot of my email receipt. Not sure what I'm doing right/wrong lol. Is the processing fee going to be added after processing?
Where did you apply the coupon code? I don't see an option to enter anything.

How legit is this site and products
Eye doc here. Online contacts as a category are one of the most egregious frauds I know of. We see patients come in with problems to find that their online lenses are either straight up counterfeit or defective (a lot of these sites supposedly do currency exchange arbitrage where they're bought cheap in another country and sit in a freezing or steaming hot storage container somewhere for who knows how long).

I can't say they're all like that but in short, if they're selling a box of contacts for cheaper than a legitimate business can buy them wholesale in bulk, and if the website has some cheesy name like this (vs. say, Walgreens), be very skeptical.

Keep in mind it wasn't long ago that we had people literally dying and losing eyes from contaminated sketchy internet eye drops. Contact lenses should be scrutinized equally.

*Oh, and sites almost never verify with your doctor that You're getting the right product. Sometimes they'll even send a "verification" weeks after they've already shipped the product to the customer. If you doubt, call your eye doc and ask.
