As a fake woodworker who never finishes projects like making a mallet. Would a deadblow be good for chisel work? I dont care about surface area of a mallet, but want to know if they'll have the same ooga dooga as a mallet would. I use a regular nylon hammer right now and it's very light.

Dead blows are a little unwieldy for repeated chisel tapping. The flat face of a Japanese daruma hammer would serve pretty well.
