Power Delivery (PD) is a specification for handling higher power and allows a range of devices to charge quickly over a USB connection. It functions by facilitating communication between two devices to negotiate a power contract so they can determine how much power can be pulled from the charger.
basically, it'll account for power surges or low power (etc.) and maintain a steady flow of electrons to your device and not fry it if your power generator sucks, when you're trying to dump a lot of power to your devices to quick charge (layman simplified terms) the smarter ones will also check temperature and such; then trickle charge your device to avoid bursting your poor lithium-polymer battery
For example Samsung phones 45W fast charging requires PPS

I did the same. If it doesn't work, I can always return it but specs wise and form factor wise it looks better than Amazon basics
they are junk, getting them to process a warranty replacement was like pulling teeth and no one knew how to do it. finally found someone who did.
so far, over the last year i purchased them, they have a 50% failure rate. garbage
I own a 65 water single USB C port and ain't nuttin wrong with it. It IS UL listed not like your Anker overpriced charger.
- Amazon basics can do single port 60W and dual port at 50W + 18W
- Oraimo can do single port 65W, dual port at 45W + 20W and tiple port at 45+15 (15W on Port 2 and 3 combined)
- Oraimo also supports PPS (3.3-20v, 3.25A)
Given the specs and $4 cheaper, Oraimo 65W charger seems to be a better deal. Thoughts?Penny wise pound foolish. Homeboy risking his thousand dolla puter on 4 Dolla savings. Also risk inferno at his landlords crib. That device UL?

I have 6 of the single port 65W model you mention bought during last year's prime day, 3 of them failed. Amazon Customer Service was hilarious to deal with. No one even knew how to handle the warranty replacement process. Most weren't even aware that Amazon Basics had a warranty they just kept parroting I was beyond the return period. Meanwhile the included paperwork states 1 year warranty. The 1-800 support said to do chat support, chat support said to call the 1-800, which then said do chat support. It was a freak clown show. Many have the same issue as discussed countless times in the Amazon subreddit. Anyone who cares about their electronics and who desires a minimum acceptable threshold of reliability in 2024, avoids garbage like this. But for people who like to buy unreliable garbage electronics, I guess this would be great for someone you. Enjoy that UL sticker that Amazon paid for and slapped on their piece of trash charger.
