Get hl "remake" black messa. I could not play old one again, it felt so dated.
Black mesa keeps old school vibe with better graphics and funy dialogs.

Half Life 2 is still one of my all-time favorite games. If by some chance you've never played it, it's an absolute no-brainer buy at a buck.

The preorder of the Orange Box is still the best PC gaming purchase I've ever made. So much good stuff packed in there.

Not slamming the recent update of Half-Life but damn, they could have turned down the walk / run speed (or built a slider into the options). Loaded the game up not remembering how fast that junk was back in the day, I must have had amazing reflexes as a teen to do all those jump puzzles. I was watching HL youtube doc a few weeks ago saying the movement speed was the equivalent to 25mph.

The whole Valve collection is 90% off too. I got this then saw that one and because I already owned portal and this when I bought the valve pack I paid 5.85.

Actually I did mean HL1, you are correct there but not Black Mesa however the official 25th Anniversary Update update. BM in contrast feels like a modern shooter.

Thank you! It's been a minute since I last played these so I'm excited to get back into the Half Life series.

Your computer was much slower. It didn't run like that for you.... Unless you had a $3000 gaming computer back then.

I'm talking character movement in the game. Not the amount of FPS the GPU puts out. A Voodoo 2 or 4090 wouldn't make a difference here.

*No offence but I literally laughed out loud when I read your comment.

Perhaps the Amish or Aboriginal Australians?

When frame rate would drop to 15fps or 5fps, it wouldn't feel like you're moving that fast.
