Sam's [samsclub.com] also gives members 15% Sam's cash back on an annual Max sub if you pay with a linked card. Sam's Plus members get an additional 20% of whatever the cash back comes to. Make sure to activate the bonus offer in your sam's bonus offers account and link the Amex or Chase card you intend to pay with. That's all, this isn't a shopping portal, just pay with your linked card (don't use Paypal or similar if that's an option, enter your credit card).
Check your Amex cards for a $25 off $99 annual Max subscription in the Amex offers area. Stacks with the cashback site of your choice. Possible to get ad-free annual subscription for ~$55 when stacking these offers.

I think MAX is going the Netflix route and will be implementing the password sharing crap later this year. This may come in handy if you're using a shared account.

Max: Get bent.
Me: Arrrrrrr
Anyway, point is - through AT&T, Max actually costs $2.50 per month.
Still have the $3/month Hulu - Disney+ plan going. Looks like that lasts a year. Meh. Was planning to cancel, but 1 new show showed up. End of this month, canceled.
$3/month is about all we are willing to spend, especially if they include advertising. It is just TV. For free stuff, we all have Tubi, Pluto, and about 5 others with commercials already.
Our antennas get more than enough junk TV broadcasts.
I really don't want to reward companies for actively preventing use of our favorite OS, like they are doing with HDMI limits on 4K currently.

The prices and tier structures have gotten so out of control now. Along with quality of entertainment nose diving. I am forced to install streamio on my devices and just call it a day.
Streaming services: I understand that they are losing money hand over fist but, I'm sorry, you need to find it elsewhere. Start cutting these star salaries, exec bonuses and piss harder on the unions or whatever you have to do - what you offer is not worth what you are asking customers to pay.

1. Cancel after it charges and you continue service until it ends (most work)
2. For those extra special companies that go to screw you (you cancel they cut off immediately), I put in a calendar reminder 3-5x a few days before the renewal.
Problem solved, just need to protect your wallet.
What I didnt renew this year
1. Paramount +. -> free now w/ Walmart +
2. Hulu cancelled -> 0.99 per month for a year
3. Max cancelled ->. Didn't bother to renew it sucks
4. Amazon Prime cancelled -> I cancelled Amazon totally. I buy from Walmart + ($45), target, and ali/temu/panda because 90% of what Amazon sells now comes from China so why not pay 20-30% the cost.
5. For freevee I just download what I want.
6. Cancelled YT Red (when they wanted $15->$23). Moved to Spotify, and Smartube
7. Cancelled Google One and Google ->. Got rid of Pixel, use idrive now, and build my own SearXNG container for anonymous search.
8. Cancelled OneDrive ->. idrive for backup, LibreOffice for Office or free office.com (which works just fine).
9. Downgraded Fios for gig to 300. Saved $40 a month there and no diff.
10. Netflix - Free I guess they haven't caught onto me not Verizon anymore, but that one I will probably keep for house peace.
Any other subscription I cancelled except for Bitdefender on computers and bought lifetime Plex/AdGuard years ago.
I'm saving hundreds a month now, and much more stress free because I don't have to worry about chasing subs. If there is something I really want there are ways but I just don't bother anymore. I spend more time on hobbies now, much happier. Less is more.
Slickdeals is down now too because its literally mostly Amazon (which I quit) or obscure Microcenter deals which isn't around me. Slickdeals should diversify.
We already cancelled Max for us haha. Main tv show we watched was Big Bang Theory. Then some studio ghibili.
