FYI, if anyone is wondering, the ads are skipped using ublock origin. I have been on the ad subscription for 2.99 per month for a while and no ads when I watch in my browser.

Not a deal like the old deals, but none of them are anymore. This is pretty decent with the Amex (varies per cardholder) or Chase (below) combined with it. I only purchase commercial free 4K, so this would work for me (using Chase $35) to be less than $9 a month.

Chase

I was on a monthly sub that I cancelled, but do I have to wait until that month is through before I can see the offer price?
It doesn't end until April 7th which is cutting is close for the amex offer I think

I let mine go for sure. I'll buy for a few months to watch game of thrones then cancell. I fell for this year stuff before. Hulu is putting out way better content.
Hulu is trash compared to MAX

Fu(kin' criminal you have to pay for ADS.
People pay 100 a month for cable TV loaded with ads, but $60 a year and you have to watch ads, wah wah! Give me a break.

For anyone looking for something to watch, Tokyo Vice is one of the best drama series I've seen.

I missed Rome when it first aired, watching now, it's pretty good especially if you're into the history of it.

If I go to the subscription page of my account and click on yearly I see the sale price. I was on the monthly $2.99 special and if I change to the ad free yearly plan it deducts this month's $2.99 from the cost of the yearly plan and tells me I will be charged $108 today.

What is even on Max that people watch? I've had free 6 mo of Max from December deal and content is pretty limiting. Kid side for sure we just looked for movies and it was like a hundred movie variations of same content like 50 Paw Patrols and 50 Scooby Doos.
Do a simple search for best shows on Max. There are at least 10 excellent shows worth watching.

Not much to be honest. I have it free with my Internet service and it had a lot of good stuff at first. But it never really gets anything new, except maybe the odd new movie release. It was nice to have the Ghibli movies, but even that hasn't changed in years and still missing a few.
Well got it for Matrix Dune movie last time I think and house of dragons mainly. But after that watched mainly old movies and the classics like original TV series with Lynda Carter, Ben Hur, Clockwork Orange, Sopranos, Wire etc..
Wouldn't be worth now since don't even get 4K unless u pay for top plan!

does Max have all of the ID channel true crime shows or should I just keep discovery plus for $5 a month. They usually put a few episodes per week on the ID true crime section of discovery plus.

Literally nothing to watch on there

Still have my $1.99 deal from black friday and barely used hbo like 6 times
If you like documentaries & true crime, try

- Love Has Won (insane cult doc)

- The Way Down

- Who Killed Garrett Phillips?

- Murder on Middle Beach

- The Murders at Starved Rock

- Chowchilla

There are a bunch of good documentaries on there if you look, but I get that they aren't everyone's cup of tea
