FYI, if anyone is wondering, the ads are skipped using ublock origin. I have been on the ad subscription for 2.99 per month for a while and no ads when I watch in my browser.

Not a deal like the old deals, but none of them are anymore. This is pretty decent with the Amex (varies per cardholder) or Chase (below) combined with it. I only purchase commercial free 4K, so this would work for me (using Chase $35) to be less than $9 a month.

Chase

Anyone know where I can go to find out the best shows on a streaming service? Trying to find out what movies/shows are on here that are worth watching, if any. I've seen The Wire and a lot of older HBO shows, wondering if they have anything newer, or any good movies.

Jeez, FP again? If they're so desperate for subscribers, why not just drop the price to something realistic and stop yanking content?

My currently monthly plan won't be up until April 7th. I clicked through the major CB site and changed my sub to the annual sub. Is it going to pickup my cash back when it changes over April 7th?

Probably HBO max due to them having more content and variety of shows. Apple TV does push out some quality series though.

It looks like those trying to switch from a plan w/ ads to an ad free plan might be out of luck doing this. I'd like to switch my current ad plan to an ad-free plan when it expires on August 17, 2024 but it looks like in my situation it would switch it now and charge me $73 which is obviously below the $99. Does anyone know of a trick to have the new ad free plan start and billed on August 18? I guess I could try and call but I have a feeling I'm out of luck here.

Yes, I could take advantage of the lower plan w/ ads price of $69 which would basically only save me $6 because my current plan would be $99 minus $25. The other option is to hope a similar deal is around in August and just let it expire and re-up then. Sucks.

HBO has Warner Bros movies which haven't been very good in the last decade or so.

Anyone have their Sam's Club bonus offer revoked?

Your recent Bonus Offers purchase at Max™ on Friday, March 15, 2024 for $113.65 is unfortunately ineligible to earn $17.05 in Sam's Cash, so it's been removed from your earnings history.

I couldn't figure out why though.

I just went ahead and bought the year of ad-free service. I was happy with the ad-supported monthly rate of $10/mo and didn't feel the ads were nearly as long or as intrusive as with other services. But I figured why not lock in what I consider to be a fair price now and get rid of the ads, too. Now I have to say that I love Max without ads! They really weren't that bad, but the viewing experience without them is almost too easy - I can watch three episodes of something without even realizing that I've done that and wasted a bunch of time. Removing the ads does save a bit of time though, and my time is worth something. I was already happy with Max but even happier now. Thanx fer teh deelz.
