Notice the difference in wording between this and the Office Depot Chase offer. On the Office Depot Chase offer, it says "Earn 5% cash back on all of your Office Depot purchases, until a $5.50 cash back maximum is reached."
However, on this offer, it says "Earn 10% cash back on your The Home Depot purchase, with a $54.00 cash back maximum." And then it also says later "Offer valid One time only." (which it did not say by the Office Depot offer).
So it seems very clear that this will only work on your first purchase, and not multiple purchases.
Thanks! I was looking for this information.
I purchased $500 digital gift card, and it now shows I saved $50. So for those who wonders if you need digital vs physical card, digital works

Does a digital gift card not work? I ordered a $540 digital gift card on 3/25 and the line item on the statement says HomeDepot.com. But I still have not seen a credit. Can someone confirm?
You will get the credit. I got both credit for physical and egift cards on my 2 chase cards
Hm, so I tried to buy a $540 gift card today. No go (the purchase was blocked by HD, not by Chase). After a bit a back and forth with HD' so-called customer service, I was informed that there is a new policy not to accept credit cards for gift card purchases. PayPal and debit cards are apparently OK. I find this hard to believe.
I got same problem after 2 orders. I then tried ordering in chrome incognito browser and it worked okay.
After placing one order successfully, can't place another one. I tried chrome incognito, firefox private, creating new account, buying e-gift card, or using paypal. None of them worked.
I am having the same issues as everyone trying to order multiple cards. My first order went through no problem. I had success ordering a second using incognito with Chrome. However, I was logged out when I added the gift card to the cart and logged in when checking out. That seemed to work. I did my third order through my iPhone and that worked. I need to place a fourth order and I am out of options. I am now getting the error message any way I try. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

So I had offered two items on Home Depot.com. One was a $500 gift card and the other was $60 worth of salt for in store pickup.
$500 gift card was charged as Home Depot.com.
$60 salt was charged as as Home Depot #store number
I got screwed. They only applied the the discount to the $60 salt. Only got $6 offer back.
So pickup does work, but make sure you max out the pickup.
I'll find out in 10 days when it's resolved.
