Steam is the world's largest digital distribution platform for computer games and is owned/operated by Valve Corporation (the developers behind several classic video games including Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress, Counter-Strike, Left 4 Dead, Dota 2 & more).
I don't like having to use the ubisoft launcher( not sure if all these require it) . Makes me wanna play them on console too
I'm sure 2 and 3 don't require it. 3 was annoying (not game altering though) because it was always trying to connect to Ubisoft inside the game and gives you annoying messages when the phone home commands no longer work (due to those servers have been sunset). You only get those messages when in the main menu though, once you start the game that part of the menu wasn't accessible. 4 and 5 have Ubisoft connect running in the background but you don't have to go through it. On Steam Deck Ubisoft connect could be a pain because it could jump on top of the game, once you disable the 'overlay' that stops being a problem. Can't speak for the other games.
On maximum difficulty, fighting out in the open is a real challenge and encountering vehicles without cover is suicidal. The difficulty of the combat changes the gameplay in a thrilling way, where you almost feel like you're being hunted and have to evade teams of enemies, taking them out from a distance with the sniper rifle. The AI's tactics were pretty revolutionary for the time too—attack and outpost and all the hostiles scatter, hide behind trees and rocks, and then slowly move from cover to cover to try to flank you if you stay in one spot too long.
All the gameplay mechanics (open world, jeeps with machine guns, diversionary tactics, weapon types) are established in the first game, but the original Far Cry's graphics are hard to stomach, the plot is cheesy, and the enemy AI sucks. It definitely brought some innovation to FPS world, though, so it's worth playing through once.

Great deals, but going to continue getting them on Xbox until they resolve that, if ever.

Farcry 2 is very repetitive and boring IMO

Is it a far cry from the first?
