This looks like waste if money until the shirts/sweats you want to wear needs the drawstring replaced. I've used a hanger and it was a pain in the a$$. For $2ish, it's worth it

An alternative to consider if you don't want another item to store / keep for the rare occasion it's needed... try using chopstick and tape to get a drawstring through.

Poor design-manufacturing. V-shape design without rounding the fork split is asking for a premature fracture in the material. It's as if they designed it to fail soon unless they are clueless in product design and physics.
