I bought one of these a while back during a previous deal - just finished assembling it. It was pretty easy to put it together, no tools required - looks pretty neat. It's for display only - certainly wouldn't want a child to swing it around and hit anything.

Autism is a spectrum so not sure what they are into. Looking around, it seems to be a fairly detailed but not overly hard puzzle. Some people with autism are really into this kind of detail work.
