This has the equivalent of one extra battery cell inside of it over 86wh 737 model that goes on sale for $90 every month. $35 extra for one more cell isn't worth it, but what is worth it if you need it, is 250w combined output from all 3 ports compared to 140w on previous model, and a whopping 170w recharge rate by utilizing both usb-c ports!!! They claim It only takes 37 minutes to recharge. That seems pretty insane to me. It also has bluetooth app support and supports find my features. It looks to me like you mostly over pay for this one for features and better electronics and not so much bigger capacity than anker 737 that was just on sale.

I think it's a good deal for a feature rich and powerful power bank. If I didn't already order 737, I would jump on this.

Here's a review I found interesting from someone who owns both, they also posted pics comparing two side by side, this one is a tiny bit bigger than 737:

No, the TSA maximum is 100 watt-hours. This product is very intentionally below that limit with a capacity of 99.54 Wh. Talking about batteries in terms of amperage isn't very precise since the nominal voltage can technically be different. Capacity (i.e., watt-hours) = amperage * voltage * time.

You just thought and didn't do any research? It's right in the product description Blink

Please know that this power bank is 99.54Wh, which meets the requirements of the TSA(<100Wh) to be taken on airplanes as carry-on baggage.

It's not the capacity that matters. You can have 50k mah it's the output.

100 watt hours (Wh) is max. this battery is 99 Wh
The capacity is what matters. You definitely can't bring a 50k mAh battery on a plane according to TSA rules.

As stated in the user manual as well as long as it's under 100 Wh. Can you show a source stating the capacity matters over this?

mAh and Wh are both measures of the battery's capacity. mAh is a bit ambiguous since you need to assume the voltage, but usually it'll be 3.6V or 3.7V. 27k mAh is roughly 100Wh.

According to the user manual. It is 99 Wh. Which is approved for TSA

And it's been tested because I've used it in at least 6 flights for the steam deck

I've been eyeing this one for a while. Hard to beat at this price. Thanks OP! Now let's hope the stand goes on sale soon.

Here's a review I found interesting from someone who owns both, they also posted pics comparing two side by side, this one is a tiny bit bigger than 737:

"I've been using the original Anker 737 Power Bank for about seven months now and have come to really enjoy it. It charges (and recharges) amazingly fast, and does both at the same time thanks to its support of pass-through charging. When I saw the bigger, more feature packed Anker Prime 27k release, it was clearly the successor to their flagship 737 bank, so I tried it asap. Worth the upgrade?Size and capacity wise, things are about the same. There's a slightly bigger screen (which still auto-rotates) and it's still heavy. Both chargers have the same port counts which are capable of almost identical charging output. You can buy a new wireless charging dock for the new version, which is super convenient, but then you're not taking advantage of one of the coolest features of this new charger (being able to recharge the unit itself with two USB-C cables at once). One of the things I really disliked about the 737 was that only one of the USB-C recharges the unit. Not a deal breaker, but the ink is black and so is the plastic, so trying to see which port I needed to plug a cable into to charge the 737 was a guessing game unless it was a well lit environment. The Anker Prime 27k solves that problem by allowing both USB-C ports to recharge the device. The phone app is also a neat upgrade. You can schedule when you want your power bank to be fully charged (think optimized charging on the iPhone). You can also schedule when you want devices connected to the Prime 27k to be charged, so that they aren't going to sit at 100% overnight, but rather schedule them to charge fully, say, right before you leave home. This is a neat add on. I will say the addition of Bluetooth to remotely check battery status is also nice, but the feature I see myself using most is the built in "find me" style locator. Not that I loose things often, but just knowing where to look straight away is a time saver. Whether the kids took my charger, I left it in my work bag, or maybe it's still in the camper or in my gym bag, it's just nice being able to ping for it and find it fast. The speaker is about as loud as an AirTag or Tile and is controlled via the phone app.All that said, it's a new offering from Anker, and the full retail price reflects that. If I didn't have the Anker 737 already (which is often on sale for under $100), then I would probably feel better about spending the money for the Prime 27k. For someone looking for a feature rich battery bank, this is a clear winner. For those thinking about upgrading from the 737 or similar size power bank, I would say wait until it goes on sale (or sell your 737 to recoup some of the cost of your upgrade). To the best of my knowledge, this model is the only one in the new line-up that supports pass-thru charging, which is something I can't live without anymore. And being able to use both USB-C ports to charge the bank together like a bonded pair of power cables is great. Makes short order of recharging 27k of battery in this very polished package. Thank you"
Great information thanks for the review. I'd push back on the reviewer about confusing which USBC is the input. It's the top one. Solves that confusion pretty quickly.

I have this and paid full price. I have been using it for when I travel. It works well, but there is without a doubt parasitic drain. Make sure to turn it off when not in use.

I have the older model ... would only consider this one if it had the charging pad included.

I watched a bunch of Youtube review videos on this power bank. The linked video below SEEMS to provide the information needed that's based on actual measurements tho I cannot vouch for the particular channel as I'm not familiar with him otherwise.

The biggest issue I heard is the power meter is unreliable. I think he said the power bank continues to charge at FULL charging rate 20-45 minutes AFTER the meter reaches 100%. Without separate independent measuring tools, one's only guide to when the power bank is completely charged is the meter in the display. If the power bank isn't fully charged and you stop charging it because the display reads 100%, you're going to not have a full battery and miss out on capacity.

I don't really travel or not have readily available AC power so I'm tempted to buy it just because it has the big, cool display and the Bluetooth connection with the phone app. Somehow I'll resist. These features which are now solely on Anker's most expensive power bank, this one, will eventually trickle down and become standard and more affordable.

Absolutely. It didn't get posted here (surprisingly) but I caught it on the Anker subreddit. Even signing up for the $50 membership you'd still come out way ahead. Incredible deal - I wouldn't pay $100+ for this thing, it's just a battery and a 60w PD battery is gonna do the same thing to get you through a long flight. But as backups to keep in the house why not
If something nice isn't posted here, you should post it. That's the whole point of the site.

Best Buy had a price glitch on this - they sold it for $30 instead of $30 off for members a few days ago. I snagged 4. They're fantastic little devices, although it feels weird to have to deal with a screen and firmware updates for a simple battery. The display showing power output is pretty cool though
Damn I wish it was posted.

Has anyone used one of these with a usb-c adapter cable for a CPAP like a Airmini? I know it's a niche use, but the cable manufacturers warn some of the fancier power banks do not handle CPAP usage since the power usage can fluctuate.
