I wish they would come up with something to have better battery life. Garmin Coros and Amazefit are consistently giving 5 plus days

This is wrong. Only watches sold directly from Apple have this feature disabled:

"The ability to measure blood oxygen is no longer available on Apple Watch units sold by Apple in the United States on or after January 18, 2024. These units are indicated with part numbers ending in LW/A."

I think the problem has to do with one poster saying it's disabled in SW due to patent infringement or something like that, so yeah we asked, me included (I know nothing about what's going on with Apple features), not because we're lazy to read. If you want people to Google to find out the real truth, then yeah that's more work. So instead of people upvoting that one post and downvoting people who asked because that post seems to be making a valid statement about it not being enabled in SW, maybe be more critical of that post. Just my 2 cents

The gps plus cellular is $ 529 for medium large. That's full price.
The $ 429 is for the smaller sizes.

Do these still have the sensors they wanted to remove because of the law suit?

I would like to know this as well. Main reason I was considering getting one was the pulse oximeter function.

It's says on the website "with oxygen sensor" if the particular model has it.

Pardon the massive ignorance, but what is the major added value of the GPS + cellular model?

I imagine Apple will incorporate their new ARM architecture into the next Apple Watch models this Sept which should significantly help battery life with lower power consumption

Keep in mind all series 9 watches currently have blood oxygen sensor disabled via software due to patent lawsuit. I would either get previous model or wait and see if Apple comes up with a workaround for series 10. US only.

So the description "with blood oxygen" means nothing then? Want to get one for my SO so she can monitor her vitals

The "GPS" model can only get data from your phone (via Bluetooth) or from WiFi networks your phone has previously connected to.

The "GPS + Cellular" can also get data (and phone calls) from a cellular network, so you can continue receiving text messages, calls, and other data (such as streaming music) when you are not in Bluetooth range of your phone or able to connect to WiFi.
