Is rawhide ok for dogs?

I know there is some back and forth, but will this make my dog live shorter or just can give the runs?

Rawhide is fine. Treats made in China and Vietnam, not so much.

I knew they used to make them in China. Didn't know about Cambodia. I wonder if that makes them any safer? This is a good price, but I usually err on the side of caution when it comes to the dogs. Thoughts, anyone?

With all of the negative reports about dogs not being able to digest rawhide, I wonder why these treats are so popular...or maybe that is why these are on sale.

My wife works with manufacturers all around the world and there is nothing that stops Chinese companies from setting up in other countries. That fancy sweater you bought that was made in Italy? Could easily have been a Chinese company using Chinese workers located in Italy. Same thing here- if you are concerned that Chinese companies cut corners when it comes to food safety, you're going to have to buy made in the USA where there is at least some (but not perfect) food and safety regulation.

Hey Smilie

I was looking too and here is what happened. You had posted this deal from amazon and for whatever reason, it did not receive enough thumbs up to go front page. This thread was posted for the same deal but from Chewy. Being different merchants, this one could not be merged into yours. Your thread was linked as a discuss because honestly, it's a great deal, regardless of it being amazon or chewy and I appreciate you posting it. Also the discuss link in the front page will help more people see your thread rather than it be buried.

Always. But should your response be in this thread?

Also, I'm only giving you a courtesy reply for properly spelling "too" Smilie
