Has been on and off at this price for a while. Having said that, I bought it last month and apart from some issues related to the camera falling off because of it's weight, it has been an excellent dashcam in terms of capturing the details irrespective of day/night and weather condition etc.

I picked one up about 4 months ago at this price also and its been great! I had the adhesive start to come off a little, but my coworker said to put the thin little plastic sticker on first, which I did and now its been solid for months! Picking up another for the wife's car!

You mean to put a thin little plastic to the window first and then stick the camera to this plastic, so no direct contact with the glass? Could you suggest what kind of plastic you use/adhesive? Perhaps a link to it. I'm in Sacramento, it's scorching hot coming every summer.

I use the little square that came with it. It's a little 4x4 clear adhesive piece. Then attached the camera adhesive piece to that. I'm in Carson City so I'm close to your heat level!

Did you find a way how to protect a dashcam from excessive hot? I read a lot that many cameras fail first year or second because they stay open to the sun all days long. Or the only option is to remove it all the time you know you leave car for a prolonged period of time?

Is the rear cam important and necessary? This mini looks nice but no rear. Just want to hear others' opinion. Thank you.

Does anyone know or use a rearview mirror or dashboard clamp ( phone clamp) with their dashcam?

I'd like to buy this but really don't want to stick it to my window.

Looking for complete portability.

How about one of those magnetic magsafe with a metal plate or ring holders? You just gave me an idea. I have plenty of old magnets and i can mount them using 3M double sided strong adhesive tape. Then attach a ring to the camera and use it like that. It's a good idea. I don't need to remove it. I just want to try. Not sure how strong magnets and metal will affect the gps signal. I never use gps but might want to have good signal just in case. I do like to have it as close to the glass as possible to eliminate glare reflection. I'll have to play with mounts. I also want to buy same or different model for the rear. I bought OBD adapter with 2 usb-A ports to avoid constantly using a power bank when parked. I'm no longer interested in crappy 2nd channel 1080/30. I'll try to use magnets and rings for front and rear.

Rear is important for some situations. I like to have it but not crappy 1080/30. My current one is completely useless in low light. I want 2 single channels cams 2k/60 or 4k/60 for front and rear. Same or different models. I'm also looking into a regular security camera connected to OBD port with a voltage cut-off adapter.
