We have several of these for my 6yr old when she wants a warm lunch at school. A few things to note:

1) Much like other thermos products, this will become not leak-proof over time so I wouldn't put hot soup and pack it sideways.

2) My 6yr old complain the spoon folds up too easily while eating and it's annoying so we pack her separate utensils.

3) If you put some really hot (boiling) water for about 5min prior to packing the food, it will keep that food warmer. We use it to give her mac & cheese or spaghetti/noodles etc primarily.

We have not had leaks but ya. Great to send ravioli or ramen with veggies instead of whatever is available at school. I haven't really done loose soups so maybe that's where I would see a leak? Slight problem is that kiddos are a lil younger so they do have to ask for help to have them opened at school.

Definitely pre-heat with warm or even boiling water. Easy for me as I have a water boiler set to go for morning tea.

Perfect product,.preheat for maximum performance..You can buy new seals if they leak or your kid loses the seal. The spoon does fold up too easily after a while however there is a technique you can use to keep it straight when eating. I've eaten a poke rice combo in a flying helicopter and managed to not spill anything using this technique. Right hand only, you'll work it out.

These are very cute, but they're small, they don't hold temperature well. I've had these for my kids. Didn't work well at all. I ended up getting the 16oZ nomeca, I Believe I found the deal here on SD as well but a long time ago

haha me too water boiler is awesome, game changer in the kitchen for everything. Also, i did a clear miso soup once, not a good idea. Maybe thick soups are okay. Oh and yes, if you really tighten it, its hard to open (they coulda put a texture ring or something)

We use one like this and it works great!. Although I'm looking for something similar that is a square box. It's hard to give grilled cheese sandwich in this type of container. If anyone have suggestion, please share

Not enough density to have a grilled cheese stay warm for a few hours or more. More for soup, pasta, etc. Even mac and cheese cools rather quickly.

We have a couple sets for our kids and both of them have lost the spoons for two out of four sets now lol. We bought these folding metal spoons on Amazon which are a little better I think and they fit the storage compartment (although the ones we bought don't snap into place)

At least one of the lids we lost the silicone ring for so it doesn't seal as well. Otherwise, these have been the main staples for our kids.

One thing to note is that the lids get stinky so its a good idea to get a small wire brush to clean it out every now and then

Two food jars (one blue, one pink). Each one shipped separately.

It's $14.84 now btw.
