In case anyone wants the data, looks like the blue dye they use was shown as cancerous in one in vitro study but it's not quite classified as a carcinogen due to gaps in study data.

While 2.50 a bottle usually seems good, some of the recent deals with Walgreens and the single bottle from Amazon are way better. The price per bottle on the amazon one yesterday was 1.80 or so, and last week or so I was able to get 2 bottles at Walgreens for 3.50.
