Walnuts do go rancid, and you can tell the difference between fresher and more rancid Walnuts.

One less known fact is Costco has "Business Centers" with a lot different item list. One of those is Walnut Pieces . Strangely, the pieces are *much fresher* than the whole Walnuts you get in regular Costcos. I go to the Business Centers just for those and load up several bags and stock in the fridge. Great every way and ready to eat.

Great deal! I hope it arrives in better shape than the last bag of walnuts I ordered from amazon. I also hope it has a decent expiration date.
