I opened up the Amazon music APP for the first time in a long while, and was offered 3 months of free unlimited music. I did not have an active Amazon music subscription, but I have used trials before. YMMV

FYI: I was able to cancel immediately after subscribing, and still use the 3 free months.

Hopefully just a one off issue on my end, but clicking that link resulted in two separate charges for monthly subs to Amazon Music. One for $9.99 individual and one for $16.99 family. I did not click through, sign up for, or confirm any start of subscriptions either.

Link from here went to a page with a manage subscription link. That was concerning because I don't subscribe to Amazon Music, so I clicked manage subscription and that's where I saw $9.99 per month with it renewing 4/23. I confirmed that there was a new pending charge on my Amazon Visa CC for $9.99. Started a chat support, where another $16.99 pending charge for a family plan showed up during it. Chat turned into a phone call with Amazon where they cancelled everything on their end and will be refunding both those charges on my Amazon CC.

So yeah, I went from clicking a link to see if I'm eligible for a trial to now needing to watch for refunds next week reversing the almost $27 in charges it generated.

Really sorry to hear that! 😞 I just linked the Amazon music homepage, it shouldn't have done all that without showing verification page.

Yo this happened to me too! I did exactly the same... chat with no response then called in. It seems that they may be aware of it because I first interacted with an automated teller and it asked me if I wanted a refund which I said yes. It refunded me the 16.99 for family but I then had to talk to a rep about the single user 9.99 charge. they gotta get their crap fixed.
