I don't know why people would buy this when the much better Fanatec DD Pro costs less. And once you are in the Fanatec ecosystem you have a upgrade path to better wheels, bases, and pedals. It's like comparing toys to pro racing sim system.

I would NOT recommend the DD Pro. It has lots of issues, just see r/fanatec on Reddit. The ClubSport DD is a more fair comparison. This Logitech likely falls somewhere in the middle. It's tough to recommend because there are other options similar in price, but this is a decent unit. It's just unfortunate that they haven't released additional wheels for it yet.

I got the Logitech from target and boy do I suck even more using it than a controller...I tried ACC PS5 and bunch of arcades like need for speed and grid
Do you use the in car camera? Move the monitor right behind the wheel? Adjust fov (fov calculators online)? Adjust seating position?

So I own the Fanatec DD and the Logitech Pro and I can tell you for sure that the Logitech Pro is way better than the Fanatec DD. It's not even close. What really sets Logitech apart is TrueForce. The weird thing about it is that the first time you try it out you do not understand what TrueForce is and what it is contributing at all. HOWEVWER, as soon as you try any other wheel that does not have TrueForce in it, it quickly becomes apparent how incredible of a feature TrueForce is.

Also looks like Fanatec gives you pedals. Logitech does not with that offer.

ITT: people realizing sim racing is an expensive hobby.

As other have said though, unless you desperately want a Logitech wheel, look at some of the other options for this price. Fanatec, Moza, Simmagic…

I had a logitech Momo lesther wrapped wheel and alluminum peddles years ago (2003 ish) which I paid around $130 and it was really nice, but I had a hard time trying to get the wheel "centered" using the buggy software.

Good deal if you want this specific Logitech, but as others have mentioned there is a lot of other options out there now such as Thrustmaster, Fanatec, Sim Magic, Moza, Turtle Beach, etc. There's plenty of good videos on the Youtube than can explain the differences better than me. My advice is start as cheap as possible to see if simracing is something you truly enjoy then go to craigslist/Facebook marketplace to buy used higher end gear.
Simagic vs simucube? I'm trying to get into sim racing but trying to find something very good and no need to upgrade. Need some help/advice if you have any of those. Thanks!

Simracing can be an expensive hobby and it also depends on what you want. For Truck simulators, you don't need a direct drive or if you are mostly a console player, a cheap Logitech is enough.

Now if you want to play games like AC, ACC, iracing, true sim games, while you can start with belt drives as a starter, you will eventually crave a direct drive wheel. Trust me on that one.

While there are many options, I personally use simagic, Moza can be a great start for most people because their bundles are decently prized.

Logitech is decent, but, this is the only wheel they offer, for now. For some, that's fine, but for others who like to drive different cars with different wheels, this might be an issue.

Fanatec is an OG and make good products, but I have been hearing of delivery issues lately.

So, yeah.. It can be an expensive hobby. Oh, don't try to mount direct drive wheels to your reading tables lol. You want something that can handle all that power, which will take you into the rabbit hole of wheel stands and gaming cockpits. The more fun you have, especially if you do online racing, the more expensive your taste will become. Be warned lol

Simagic is budget simcube, in an excellent way. I personally use all simagic and it is more than enough. The only area simagic was lacking was their software, but thats no longer an issue.

If you can afford simcube, by all means. But you cant go wrong with either.

Best true force feature is that you can turn it off. Maybe for console games, it can be useful, but pc games.. It's gimmick.

I was very close to pulling the trigger on simucube but asked on Reddit and a few mentioned simagic bundle is best bang for buck and that's my thing as I'm on Slickdeals. Only hesitation is Finnish vs Chinese. If it's like chi-fi products I think I would be ok with it. I feel simucube would cost more but also 5 years old vs 2? Few variables, but for the money I would just pick the simagic and call it a day unless there is a real great reason to get into the simucube economy instead? Thanks for your help.

Pretty sure this works on games like Farming Simulator etc. So, you could pretend it's driving you to your virtual work.

I've never owned a racing wheel before, which is the best thrustmasters one to get? I was close to getting the Logitech G920 but I feel there's a better option for me out there
Don't get that if it's the gear one and not a belt system or direct drive. Gear wheels make clicking noises that are not fun to listen to when playing.
I got the TM Alcantara. I think it was $400 or $450. It's a solid build and it's belt drive. Smooth driving yeah.

Any mid tier Thrustmaster should do it. Direct drives are almost double the money and I heard it can break your fingers/hand if the wheel turns and your hands happen to be inside the wheel circle.

But if you're getting one don't go for Logitech. And don't forget to pick one that is compatible w PC AND the console that you have so you can play on both. Google Thrustmaster vs Logi reddit or something like that there's tons of guys out there discussing pros and cons.
