Are the 2TB cards coming sooner? Is that why these are very reasonably priced?

UHS-I slow speed and not ideal for certain use cases like photography
I was wondering this. What is the min speed one should have for photography?

Wow, 1.5TB! That is a lot of data to lose all at once. Make sure you backup regularly, folks!

I hope that somebody that actually knows can reply. But I imagine it depends on camera and speed it can take shots.

My guess is that if you have a really high end camera, this memory is not for you since you need to take full raw photos and sometimes 3-10 or whatever is a second. You need memory that can write really fast, and my pure opinion without facts is that this memory is not designed to keep up at that pace.

Yes, they are, but the cost is $200-$230 and I doubt the prices will drop to $0.06 per GB any time soon, i.e. in one or two years. Plus, to reach the advertised speeds, you would need a special USB reader optimized by the manufacturer for the particular card.

The model here is overkill for the purpose.

It would work, but I had a grey model like this die from extended use because it's not designed for constant read write. Get Samsung endurance memory for like a quarter of the cost that is actually designed for constant write cycles. Furthermore, 256 will be more than enough for like 4+ hours of footage.
