after having read the entire WoT saga
i can't imagine anyone being fanboy enough
to want a companion that regurgitates what
you just finished reading.

it's a fun fantasy story, but it's not original.
about the only good thing i can say about it
was the busy final ending was very satisfying.
it didn't leave me wanting anything more here.

After book 7 it got to be a chore to read it. Is it worth the push to finish?

There were about 3 books that didn't move the story at all but the last couple that Jordan wrote before he passed and then the 3 that Sanderson wrote are much better. Sanderson did a fantastic job tying it all up and giving a satisfying conclusion.

The ending is great, and the last few books are really good. Whether it's worth it to get to that point depends on how much you can tolerate the middle books not driving the plot very well.
