I lost interest in this after about 10 hours. It's very boring. The map is very congested and you end up running into restricted areas and getting into fights, when you're just trying to get to your destination. You're also very often punished for killing. Almost every time you kill someone, there's a civilian around to see it, which raises your wanted level, and then you have to go rip down posters or bribe a guy. This game really wants you to do nothing but stealth. Sometimes you just want to throw down, but then you get an invincible bounty hunter (at least nearly invincible) after you if you do that too much (which isn't much). The traversal is also some of the worst the series has ever had. I was constantly getting stuck on objects, and the character would jump to the wrong thing all the time, or not grab onto something that clearly should have been grab-able (not a word, I know). I traded this in in a week.

Same. I actually played all the assassins creed and found this one annoying. Maybe I go back to it but I doubt it

I haven't played it, but it sounds like that was made by design (bad design).
Lots of open-world games put up hurdles to your next quest to pad playtime -- either they put you far away from the next quest objective, requiring you to travel, or you must do some other errands before. This is so the game isn't beaten so quickly in a few hours.
Shame that the story doesn't sound engaging enough to suffer through the hoops

note that in the fine print, it says that if you own the ps4 disc, you can use it to download the ps5 version for free

I can see why you and others feel that way, but FWIW I enjoyed the more focused approach of Mirage after getting burned out by Origins and Odyssey.

>you end up running into restricted areas and getting into fights
This is standard in most of the series. The point is to sneak around or stealth kill so you aren't detected and don't get into fights.
>You're also very often punished for killing. Almost every time you kill someone, there's a civilian around to see it, which raises your wanted level, and then you have to go rip down posters or bribe a guy.
If you're caught. The point is to not get caught. I finished the game without paying to have my wanted level lowered. It would go down eventually and it's not even a big deal during the game. Run, hide, or kill the pursuers.

That's kind of annoying. I usually run around like a bull in a china shop in AC games
Typical Slickdeals, everybody fawning over the deep discount on the Ubisoft title, while the real story is Woot selling Paleo Pines: The Dino Valley[woot.com] for $4.99 for PS4 and XBX.
