This is even cheaper: 2lb for $16. Equivalent to 2.5 gallons Drano (that's 10 bottles of Drano).
2- baking soda followed with vinegar
3- plunger
4- clean the p trap
5- snake
Oddly enough I just had a nasty clog and none of those worked. I used the suction on my shop vac and attached it to the end of the breather pipe. It was a bunch of egg shells that were completely blocking the pipe. I used to throw egg shells into the garbage disposal. Not doing that again.
The 80oz is still cheaper per ounce even without the 20% coupon

Pour the boiling water first. The baking soda gets washed by the vinegar which will create a lot of fizz.

This is the only drain cleaner that has worked for me. Not going to clear lines that have standing water, but if the lines r clear of standing water and u let this sit for long enough it will unclog. The gel works much better than anything else ive used (even acids). Must make sure it is safe for ur pipes and system.

The Drano crystals version is way more effective. Just pour crystals into sink, follow with some boiling water. Do it twice. Done.
The crystal Drano also has the 20%off.
(I'll do the math for you. It's about 9 cents an ounce for both)

So hot water first, then add baking soda and vinegar then let it sit? I don't know what you mean by washed
