I've this set for over a year and it's very durable. My son dropped some of tiles on hardwood floor and none of them is broken so far. The magnet is strong enough to hold the pieces together. However, 100 piece is not enough to build lots of stuff (e.g. nice castle, christmas tree....etc) illustrated from the manual book comes with the set. Keep in mind NOT all 100 piece is magnet tiles. Lots of them are just plastic letters blocks which are useless IMO. My son is not interested in playing/building the tiles but he builds 3D shapes like cubes and pyramids at home as Math homework. Part of elementary school math curriculum is learning about 3D shapes. He knows he needs 6 squares to make cubes, 1 square and 4 triangles to build pyramid now.

The Magnet Tiles brand (ebay link posted by another member) is the best set. Magnet Tiles is the top brand name which has high resell values in second hand market. Magnet Tiles brand is the top reputable brand that you can find in target. This brand is supposed to have the best quality with strongest magnet. If I have to choose again, I would buy the set from ebay one instead.
I just ordered a very similarly price/piece deal here:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/254481644757

although it's slightly more than double the price ($73) for almost double the pieces (199), although I would argue the pieces in what I linked are better.

That said, you get faster shipping from amazon, probably an easier return process, etc., plus you don't have to buy so many pieces.

edit: I did really bad math, not "slightly more than double." it's $13 more than double, sorry about that

Could you not get from Amazon for cheaper? Honestly not sure what pieces come with it because the last image shows the ebay shot of pieces which is WAY more pieces from listing. Might roll the dice and see what comes.

Any thoughts on Tytan branded tiles? They are 220 pieces for $55 and includes tiles/shapes only, no letter blocks/window inserts counting as pieces. I think I had to google them to find a listing elsewhere(maybe sams club comment had a picture of the booklet with number of pieces).

magnets are weak and hard to build long structure

I bought this two weeks ago. These are fun! Mine came with a broken purple window piece though and the supplier tells me to ask Amazon for support. In which they replied to contact the supplier, whom later ghosted me. Not a big deal since its just 1 piece but the play set is awesome.

I ordered this one with the 40% coupon.

Anyone have this brand? How does it compare?

I bought 2 of these sets for my kids for Christmas. I think I paid $40 then. They use them all the time and I'm going to grab 2 more so they have more blocks.
