My advice... start with an easy to clean one... then aim toward comfort. Foam is more difficult to clean, I think.
IMHO, Costco mattresses are WAY overpriced.

The only thing that works for me is a spring mattress. I also tried the Purple mattress ( this mattress is by far the coolest in temp) , but unfortunately can't get used to the grid pattern.
I pumped it inside my car and dropped it off at the store cancelling the FedEx, pilot. That was faster than waiting two weeks

Also get some waterproof disposable pads for the area under the hips to use only as needed since these don't breath well. BTW, x-large size doggie training pads work fine. "Allways" brand pads (thin, long) worn with 100% cotton underwear can also help through the night (and day) when needed, but also don't breath well. Use sanitary water-base wipes frequently to help prevent urinary tract infections. Absolutely avoid using pills for "overactive bladder" in the elderly, since they are strongly linked to decreased cognition and even dementia.
Long life is a Blessing! Be Thankful! Happy Easter!
Any slickdealers can vouch for the quality, firmness, any fiberglass?

Something like this if you're not trying to put much effort into it:

If you want to save a couple of bucks get something like this, then tape it up (except for one small piece of the corner) stick your vaccum in there and suck out the air and close up with more tape:

When it comes down to the box however I'm not sure, my best guess would be to get the dimensions of the mattress when it's rolled up and get one from the post office or storage store? They usually fold the bed in half then roll it up from the side when they send them out, hope this helps.
