Went to D-land recently with a Genie+ Ticket and imho, it ain't worth it for the extra $$! You can only "reserve" one ride which most likely will be 4-7 hours out and you can't reserve a time slot for another ride until you at least check in to your first reservation. So if you arrive at 9am and book your first ride, it will be like 2:45pm reservation, so for over 5 hours, you can't reserve another, and by that time, most of the good rides are later night slots or magically not available to book anymore! Was able to use my Genie+ twice during the 12 hour visit!

Yes. Get a CA ID with the right postal code, doesn't need to be a drivers license. I haven't even been living in the state but have done this for years using a friend's address
Effing cheater. We live here, pay taxes, & can't get reservations because of cheaters like you. If you don't live here, you don't deserve the local deals.

Your tax money has nothing to do with Disneyland. Well, besides all those corporate subsidies CA gives them, but that's not unique to CA or Disney.

Why should locals be prioritized for entry?

When will there be the least amount of people? I want to get on some rides! I went last year on a random Thurs and the lines were ridiculous. And rides broke down while I was in line. Never got to ride on Spider-Man or rise of resistance.

If you haven't been in 20 years, perhaps your perspective is out of date. I've been twice this year and had completely the opposite experience. This deal made the cost reasonable, and the new rides and SW experiences were fun. The app makes it easier to use reservations to avoid the longest lines, and both times the employees were very engaging and friendly. We have several fun pictures with cast members.

I have 1 visit left, but that one will be California Adventure. Fingers crossed I end up 3 for 3 on the enjoyable visit scorecard.

Also, inclusive resorts and cruises are full of people getting drunk so they get their money's worth. I can do without that vibe, thanks.
If you wait until May, it's Pixar Fest and Season of the Force.

don't go even tickets are free. you spend 99% of your time waiting in line.
I went on a Saturday just before COVID and longest line was probably 15 minutes and I probably only had three lines to deal with in total that were more than 5 minutes

Nothing more enjoyable than reading these comments/offers and seeing just how ridiculous Disneyland has become. I really hope that in my lifetime somebody dethrones Disney as the de facto family theme park and movie conglomerate. I'm glad to see that people are getting tired of all the Marvel and Star Wars nonsense.

If Disney truly cared about being the "happiest place on Earth" they'd build a bunch more theme parks in the U.S. instead of forcing folks to shell out thousands of dollars just so their kid can hug Mickey. All they care about is profits. And I encourage all the creepy "Disney Adults" to thumbs down my post.

I'm sorry you had a tough time, but you didn't use the Genie to the max benefit. If you have a reservation 5 hours from now, you can book another one in 2 hours. The way we decided to do it is book one right when we got there for something with a long wait like Space Mountain. Go ride stuff with shorter waits during the 2 hour window, then book another reservation as soon as the app let's you do it (2 hours) - either a mid range one with a reservation coming up soon, or another long wait one with a reservation before or after the one you already have. If the timing works out, you'll have 2 back to back reservations and as soon as you check in for one, make another one. I can't view the history, but we got at least 5 reservations on both visits.

Apparently it's always busy there, but I've had good luck in the past going on a day where the weather is crappy or some rain. Rain tends to scare away a lot of SoCal people from my past experience. Also, the best time I went to Disneyland was when they closed it to the general public and had it open for 6 night hours to radio station winners. It was great, like 5 to maybe 10 minute waits on every ride! In 6 hours I was able to cover so many rides and attractions compared to a handful in 12 hours on a normal day there..

This is not true. Every two hours it resets. You didn't know how to use the system and are misinforming people on here. Only a few rides are like that, usually Space Mountain and Indiana Jones. Get those first thing in the morning and you're good.
