I don't think you'll see cheaper anytime soon - got mine for $291 (pre-tax) in a similar deal, but 4 years ago and before inflation. No regrets, its a great guitar.

Some things that helped mine that I'd recommend to other people and you've got a truly great guitar:

1) "Hammer trick" to tighten up vibrato bar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r228wRpTWI0
2) Stewmac 1 degree neck shim (You may want less, I like the action as low as I can get away with)
3) Check the bridge's string slots and the tree for any metal burrs and file them down (I broke 4 high-E strings due to burs on my bridge AND string tree). I ended up putting on a Graph-Tec string tree for peace of mind
4) Clean the fretboard with Dunlop Lemon-oil. Its got some kind of gray wax on to protect it.
5) Raise the pickups close to the strings as Leo intended. Flat-wounds sound great.

I also "upgraded" with some witch-hat knobs and a gold anodized pickguard from Musiclily, but inexpensive and mostly cosmetic. I put on some Graphtec saddles I got on clearance but I don't think it buys you a lot.
Maybe buy the Jazzmaster. If bitcoin falls in price, you'll appreciate having the Jazzmaster. If bitcoin goes up in price, you'll appreciate having the Jazzmaster to play the blues.
Thank you for the sell signal.

Took the plunge and just purchased it...I was on the fence but just kept thinking about it. Thanks Slickdeals, I'm now $650 lighter after buying this and the Scorpion EXO helmet on the other link....FFS.

Curious, box came looks resealed. Does the security seal matter if it's broken?

Mine arrived with a large chip missing around the neck pocket and the return process seems easy so far. Guess it wasnt meant to be.

Got lucky on mine! Mint condition with all plastic still attached. Setup not bad either.

Got mine in yesterday and I'm generally impressed with the fit and fitness. Looks like this run was made by Cor-tek (vs Samick). Truss is right, action is right, frets are good, intonation needed a little adjustment but was in the rightish spot. No damage or pocket cracks.

All in all it's about the same level of attention as my mim player instruments. I would imagine the wood and hardware is maybe a little better on mim but poplar is one of the better Asian options.

Generally speaking I've had 3 really good higher end squiers (50s p bass, rascal HH bass, and this jazz) and one that I was underwhelmed with (a squier bsb 50s that I've since sold because I didn't want to deal with a misaligned bridge and some high frets).

Got mine Saturday, new in box with plastics and wrap. Unboxed it and it's pretty damn sweet. So glad I got it at this price...killer deal.
