It's really tempting at this price! I'll just add my experience with it from December when it was $500. Image quality is great. Obviously OLED has better blacks but I had no complaints really. The power button is slightly off-center which makes it very difficult to use and I ended up having to use the remote to turn it on and off which felt goofy for a PC monitor. The issue that made me return the monitor however, was that any time windows turned off the screen due to inactivity, the monitor refused to work. I could press a key or move the mouse and the monitor would spring to life but just display an error saying that "no device was found on displayport, powering off in 60 seconds". This is an extremely common issue, if you google "odyssey neo g7 43 no device found" you can find an absurd number of forum posts since the monitor's release and not one single word from Samsung on the issue or how to fix it. There have been zero firmware updates for the monitor, you can still only get version 1.0 on the monitor's page. Other, more recent G7 monitors have had multiple updates in half the time. I could have made windows keep the monitor on 100% of the time, but the issue sometimes would occur even when booting up the pc and monitor fresh. The only way to fix the issue when it happened was to get under my desk, unplug the displayport cable from the pc, and then plug it back in. Doing this 10+ times a day made the monitor unusable for me. Folks online have had the issue when using HDMI as well. All this to say, it's a great monitor with some serious usability issues. If you are lucky and it works for you, great! I'd just make sure returning it won't be an issue if necessary.

One of the worst displays ive ever picked up.
Probably one of the most returned sets to. Back with the first sale amazon was flooded.

Tons of OS/software and input issues and the PQ is terrible.
There's a reason this is always on sale.

I was gonna hop on board but this is VA panel

ALSO, after reading the reviews and complaints, the multitude of youtube videos demonstrating the same errors (awful software embedded and super slow input switching and of course, samsung may make good products (when they work) but their customer service has ALWAYS been known in the industry to be one of the WORST).

I will trust my gut and still pass... but $399 is very tempting... even for a VA panel.

Just received this monitor and had no issues switching computer via 2 hdmi cables. If you download the app u can just tap which device you want to switch to flawlessly instead of using the remote to select. I'm glad I made the right call to purchase this! Only downside is that it's a little too big, it's perfect to watch tv in your room but working you might need a bigger desk so you can be farther from the screen.

Everyone should realize that these Samsung monitors will respond to standard Samsung remote codes like any $10 universal remote at Walmart will put out. That will give you a standard input select button menu button and number buttons all of the stuff that Samsung thinks we don't need

Monitor is in, It's a good monitor for $400, but I wouldn't pay more for it than that.

The ghosting issues are REAL, oddly gaming mode (which is support to improve ghosting and latency makes it considerably worse at all settings). I'm on an M2 Mac and DP, I can't seem to get 144hz no matter what I do, I know the cable supports it. Gaming mode is supposedly required for the 144hz option, unfortunately even when enabled I can't get 144hz, and with gaming mode on as mentioned the ghosting makes things look like soup.

The screen looks good for the most part, but this needs a curve. Specifically being a VA panel, I'm a full 30" away from the screen, and the outside edges feel like they are bending away from me. It's the oddest feeling. I legit had to stand up and verify the screen was in fact flat.

I've had to push the screen back an additional few inches and that does seem to help a bit. At a full 36" from my eyes, things are pretty good. Still too much ghosting for my liking, but there aren't many options in this format and size. The other option is a QN90C 43" but that thing is over $1,000, for $600 more I'd expect it to make me coffee in the morning as well.

Not a horrible purchase, just some real shortcomings. If this had a curve, a lot of my complaints would be minimized. Honestly, I can't figure out how this was released without a curve. This would go from a D+, to a B+ monitor real quick if it had a Curve.

Got mine setup, like it thus far.

I'd like to use headphones when watching Netflix, etc. Can this monitor do wired/wireless headphones?

I can't say for sure, but it should be possible. They have absolutely buried the bluetooth options for this monitor. It's under the main options -> connection -> external device manager -> input device manager -> bluetooth devices.

It doesn't explicitly state headphones, but I can't see why it would only accept inbound bluetooth. Good luck!

Thanks for assist.

Tried, but it only shows keyboard and mouse. Seems silly that it cant output to a wireless headphone.

Does work with wired headphones but the volume doesn't go up very high.

On another note, using a Satechi hub and the when connecting a MBP M2 pro chip model thru Thunderbolt-hub-display port - monitor. There isn't sound output from monitor
If i use same chain as above but with HDMI instead of DP, the monitor plays sound.

I thought DP can transmit audio now?

Thanks for all the info! The price can't be beat for 43in 4K 144hz TV/Monitor. Will give it a try and see if the new firmware fixes the menu annoyance for most people. Not in stock at Best Buy but shipping will take 6 days. Don't forget the 10% Cash Back!
