Wow, at this price it's hard to justify a chromebook. This is a lot of computer.

From the service manual it does appear to have two memory slots so it should be pretty simple to drop in a second 8gb stick in it to double the memory and get dual channel going.

So.. "120Hz". Is this meant to be a gaming laptop?

Same with many Lenovo models, it happened to mine. The metal hinges were screwed into plastic frame, entirely dumb cost cutting decision.

Why 120hz without gpu
I can't tell if your ignorant or trolling. However, I'll bite.. 120hz is not just for gaming. At the very least, 120hz gives you buttery smooth scrolling and general mouse movements in Windows.

What is the hinge issue?
Looks like the screen is used to prop the back of the laptop up, does this stress the hinge and cause it to break?

I was about to buy it, but I open my laptop 4-5 times a day sometimes, and actually use it as a laptop sitting in my recliner.

You get what you pay for. Careful with those hinges.

And despite having a 5xxx name, it is a Zen 2.

5500H, 5560, 5600, hell even 5400 are Zen 3. There is an ocean's differnece between Zen 2 and 3.

There is a difference in performance, for sure, however, on a less than $300 laptop your average person who is going to be buying this probably won't see anything that's different between them. This will still do pretty much anything you throw at it outside of gaming, and lots of video editing

Backlit keyboard isn't a big issue for me.

Fair point, but it's $270 real laptop, with integrated graphics, which people are going to buy instead of a high-end Chromebook. So in that sense, who cares?
