ATTENTION FELLOW GUITAR ADDICTS. Living one day at a time applies here.
This is the guitar Paulo Reedo Smitho envisioned would draw every studio, producer when introduced (For some reason they did not want to shell out 3k for his core line)
This will run rings around Patent Applied For Gibson Les Paul and still capture the Tele sound. the obvious reason that when created it wasn't dragging the 60s 70s and 80s for the most part behind them. On a Gibson Less Paulo I would compare it the modern line.
And No its a very noticeable difference over an SE. The standard S2 line is for people that put food on the table. The core line is for the people sitting at the table
So I am not sure where I am going with this and that is my cue to open ears and closed mouth.
Nice! I have this exact model but a 2015, and I can't say enough good things about it! Its my go to when I want to practice. Its the perfect weight, neck shape is comfy, frets are perfect, and the trem is dead on always returns to 0. Im waiting for the same deal on the Satin white version of this myself. Something is telling me i need another S2 22 for some reason.

If you have the 22 get the 24. BTW 22 is all gone out of stock. I have one that I can put back a 24 from my cart but would prefer a Slick Dealer get it
This reminds me so much of my PRS Mira. Not sure what the differences are, but it's definitely a great playable and looking guitar. Not sure what they were going for with these, but I've heard they're a cross between an SG and a Les Paul. Looks like an SG, def has the warmth of a Les Paul.
The only issue with PRS guitars is they're not "iconic", little history, very 'nice' sounds, but nothing that makes people talk about it. So perfect, so playable, and great sounding they're boring to some. I think this image will change in due time.
It's gotta be tough to be making some of the best quality and best value guitars long past the prime of the heros.
My 22 fret standard just arrived from this deal. Its a brand new 2023 production year, plastic on the pick guard and all tags still affixed. Action is high but I can't find any real flaws. I wonder if they are clearing these out to make room for the new 2024 S2 standard models that are $2k. Thanks for posting!
