In case anyone is thinking about this and cares about color gamut, Notebookcheck's review tested that the display only outputs 92% of the sRGB color gamut in their testing and not the 100% that is claimed. Most panels that claim 100% sRGB coverage test at about 99% so Intel's choice of panel falls short in reality.

Quote from Dr.Wajahat View quoted comment :
Wow, 92% is so far off from 99%, right? A normal person wouldn't even notice the difference.
If you read what I wrote, I mentioned that the info I provided is specifically for those who care about color gamut which directly impacts the end user viewing experience and usage. 92% sRGB color gamut is noticeably less than a 99% sRGB panel and would be clear to most people when they see the two side by side.

I've noticed that you are very defensive about deals that you post every time anyone makes a comment pointing out a shortcoming or potential issue with the product or deal. It's bizarre behavior.

notebook check says the 550m is close to an nvidia 1660ti, the closest large volume one I could spot.

I don't see this as a bad price but the 1660 card is about the same and going to do better on older games and more mature drivers I do t know the quality of intel laptops or who makes it but when you can get a gtx 3050 or 3060 at this price or close enough im like ahhh
And any more im just a screen guy i picked up that Cosco racer with the 4k OLED for $615 no tax and with the amd 7 cou the power draw is so low im just kind of not into intel cpu in laptops anymore they need to step up the game
