ONE MONTH TRIAL Free FSD Beta (worth $99) available for Model Y customers - Be sure to install the OTA update 2024.3.6 which has the FSD Beta v12.3.2.1. Once you install it you will receive an email from Tesla confirming the trial.
My husband and I both got a free trial yesterday, model Y and Model 3.
I love electrics, and remain deeply suspect of FSD. It's mathematically safer than driving, but I'm also mathematically safer than the average driver. It would be great if everyone else had FSD and I could drive myself, but I'm not interested in the other way around... yet.

Had FSD in my last 2 Teslas (came included w the one I bought used, then I did the free transfer deal to my current one). I am running the most recent 12.3 update. I had EAP in a previous one. I'll chime in with a few things off of the top of my head:
1. FSD does NOT live to expectations/promise/hype. It IS indeed a let down overall.
2. I love having FSD though. Super useful for my commute.
3. FSD must be supervised nearly constantly.
4. It sometimes actually drives better than I would have - typically in poor visibility conditions. This was a huge surprise for me.
5. It is often hesitant/timid at taking turns/intersections and requires that I encourage it to keep moving with the accelerator pedal.
6. It will make poor lane change decisions sometimes which makes me look like an idiot.
TO' ME: Is it worth the current price of 12k? No. Thankfully I did not pay for it. Is it worth maybe $1000? I would pay 1k to have FSD. If it ever lives up to the promises (drop off/pick up, hands free door to door) made years ago, then yes, I would pay 12k for it.
