They're probably still made in Japan by Shun. I have both the Kershaw and Shun (DM7300) versions. The easy disassembly makes sharpening a breeze.

Unfortunately, made in China. Just checked the manufacturer's website. I believe Kershaw and Shun are both subsidiaries or brands of KAI. I like all of their stuff and have always been impressed with their quality. In for 2. Only 2 left!
