On a side note, when the deal for the New Capenna bundle for $33 was posted I ordered one and so did a friend. We both ended up getting Ixalan Gift Bundles instead. I just kept it and ordered another 2 New Capenna bundles but that time I got what I ordered.
Down side was that the Ixalan Gift Bundle was a bust.

Lost Caverns of Ixalan set saw reprints for Mana Crypt and that was fetching some high prices.
You can search around and see everything that was printed for the set. Here is a list of the "most expensive cards" https://draftsim.com/mtg-lci-expensive-cards/ but keep in mind that as the meta changes card prices can vary too.

If you wanted to play Commander/EDH the Starter Commander precons are a nice place to start. Token Triumph and First Flight are ~$25, I started with both of those and they still hold their own against a lot of other decks
If you want a black lotus, you need a booster pack from the original sets, alpha, beta, or unlimited, those are the only sets that have it (besides collector edition). Each pack may cost you like $10k for 15 cards. Pokemon and 1st Edition Charizards are on a similar boat. Good luck.
