Much like the other retailers, Home Depot has DEWALT pruners on sale. Combined with the 10% off from Chase if you are a selected card member, that could bring the cost down to $80.10.

I spent all afternoon in the backyard with this and a chainsaw and there was nothing that could stop me!

Tell my arthritis that.
I bought one of these a few weeks ago. Definitely exceeds expectations. Some bigger/harder branches take 2 uses before cutting thru as it nibbles away at the material.

With the 60v battery it lasts longer than I do.

Would recommend and will likely buy my mom one. One note is it is intimidating! Fingers wouldn't stand a chance

I bought this Dwalt quite a while back but returned it, kind of a turd. While more expensive, this was sooo much better and you can buy a pole attachment for it which greatly increases its utility since you can reach tall branches: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B7XW8HTX

That pos you attached looks like a turd. I absolutely love my dewalt pruner and it bets my fiskars any day of the week. Especially when fiskars nowadays brake on anything larger than 3/4in while these bad boys go through 1 1/4 limbs

I have the craftsman version of this..as others have noted it is frighteningly effective. Push a button and it zips through a 1.5" branch like it is cutting a zip tie. 2" takes two clips, one from each side.

Each time I use it I count my fingers after putting it away. Just ...yikes.

What are you options on replacing the blade? I have the fiskers hand pruner and usually look into replacing every 2-3 years on clearence because of all the knocks in the blade and it eventually dulls.. I do wipe and lightly oil blades after using to fight off moisture from branches.

Well worth the $$$. Bought for same price a year ago. I have around 120 trees on my property(pine, maple, pear), plus shrubs. Nice to hold the branch with 1 hand, and cut with these with the other. Makes trimming alot faster. And they'll cut your dogs 12" bully sticks in half.

Heck, if I wasn't sold before, you got me with the Bully stick cutting! I've been using my 24" compound action bolt cutter to do it!! 😅

Every time I see this tool I see fingers laying on the ground. lololol I'd avoid and buy something with longer handles for more power.

Have you actually used both? The Dewalt was heavy and bulky, making it difficult to navigate through tighter areas, with no ability to get an extension for it, and operation speed is quite slow and in spite of that it would bog down on anything close to what they list as its max 1.5" diameter.

The Dewalt was very cheap at $108 with one battery back in November when a similar deal was posted, but you get what you pay for. Home Depot return policy was great though, they took it back no questions asked.

Are they for sure the same? Or was it an extremely dry dead branch? Ours had no hope of cutting a 1.5" branch, which is why I returned it when a similar deal was posted in November... hmmm. The deal did inspire me to search Amazon for competitors though, and glad we did because the cut quality you get from a pruner is SO much cleaner than a saw.

And the cleaner the cut, the less I think you are likely to introduce bacteria into the plant so it can heal quicker compared to some of the mini-saws that while versatile make really torn up cuts often.

Amazon for the extra 5% off with their CC. Had been eyeballing this for a while, really want one that'll just hookup to my dewalt pole saw and hedge trimmer, (even suggested it) but they still haven't come out with it.

Will get hard use for sure.

The pruner is great. It isn't brushless so the sparking is normal. Blade is replaceable. Thousand cuts on one battery. Could easily lose a finger if you aren't careful.
