I use it for feminine wash or anus wash depending on what comes out lol
Also use heated seat and air dry depending if I sit long due constipation and/or diarrhea cramps from eating too much ice cream (lactose intolerant)
The bidet I own only has a basic wash physical button on the seat itself
if one does have a full control panel built in , id rather go for controller as it's not really line of sight when sitting
I saw last night in store at Costco for $350.

• USPA 6800 - my first bidet. Purchased in 2016 open box from Woot! I thought it was toast until I recently discovered how easy it is to remove the nozzle tip and clean out the hard water buildup. The remote goes through AAA batteries fairly quickly (3-4 months?) but otherwise zero complaints. Technically I own a 2nd truly Costco model of USPA (6800u?) which seems to be the same as the 6800 other than the remote but it started leaking about 6 months ago and I replaced it with a Toto. So that one lasted maybe about 5 years?
• Moen "5 series." It's ok - although I've used this one the least as it's in my kids bathroom. It works, but it also felt the flimsiest when I installed it.
• Novita BH93 [costco.com] honestly my favorite and it's not even close. I thought the open/close of the lid and/or seat is gimmicky and would just be another thing to break. But if Costco ever restocks these things I'd be tempted to buy another. Everything about it is better than my others. The dryer - when cranked up - feels like it could melt your butt…
• Toto T1SW3014. Honestly this is my least favorite. I thought I wouldn't like the side panel vs a remote, but it turns out it's not bad. Maybe I even like it… The toilet's location without any convenient nearby wall space made this seem to be a smart choice. I really like the bowl pre-mist. The dryer is OK. The lid feels flimsy but no worse than the others. There is no "auto" button where you just push and wait for everything to finish, but I can live with that. Also, even the elongated "seat hole" just feels slightly smaller than it should. I'd read about this and looked at the posted dimensions and figured it'd be no big deal. I can live with it, but it is noticeable and mildly annoying. My real issue though is the hot water tank size. The USPA's also have/had a tank, but they seem to be able to at least put out mildly warm water once the tank empties. The Toto has me crank the heat up to its max - an almost uncomfortable first blast - and then it slowly gets cooler. Then, when it seems like - based on my experiences the other 3 and their "auto" settings - the wash cycle should be about 75% complete, it's like a switch has been flipped and suddenly it's shooting out icicles. Literally if I could get another 10-15 seconds of hot (warm???) water out of the thing, I'd be just fine with it. But it's annoying enough that I'm here posting about it so… take that as you will.
And the thing is: I WANT to really like the Toto. I still use it… but it's like it's really close to being just fine, but it's just, not.

I'm not an electrician, but relatively handy. None of our bathrooms had outlets behind toilets, but all had them conveniently located in rooms directly behind toilets. I pulled wires through, put in GFCI outlets and plugged our bidets in so the cords are mostly out of sight.
2nd: the answer to this depends entirely on the wiring in your home. If you have an unfinished basement directly below the toilet, it's a piece of cake. If you already have an appropriate wire (meaning it's not on an already close-to-overloaded circuit) in the wall behind the toilet, also a piece of cake.
But if your breaker box is a long way from the toilet and there's no easy way to route a wire there, you could be looking at a relatively expensive install when you consider all the wire needed AND drywall/paint repair work that it would require (unless you're ok with exposed conduit in your home…)
But this is the kind of thing electricians do all the time, so it might not be awful to get a quote.
I paid $80 each for additional outlets at the time my home was built. For a comparison, my neighbors (in 2020) paid an electrician ≈$90 for an outlet behind their toilet for a bidet in their master bathroom several years after it was built.

But really, if you have an outlet on the wall (other side) behind the toilet, that's simple too.
Really though, if you don't know what you're doing, ask an electrician for a bid. They'll look around for the easiest option for you.
Going to a integrated seat + bidet is probably the ticket for overall better looks and easier cleaning.
