Yes, it sure does. Interesting that these are essentially the same monitor. What is odd is that the Dell P3424WE says that the USB-C port is 3.2 Gen 1 (power up to 90W). If that is the case, then why wouldn't the LG version support faster Ethernet/Data transfer speeds? As someone else said earlier, they must have included a USB 2.0 Cable or is the USB-C Interface limited? I need to try a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1/2 cable to see if it makes a difference.

Yeah mine delivered yesterday and I'm seeing max ~280Mbs
USB 2.0 only when using c-c cable, so barely faster than the good n' old "Fast Ethernet" Frown

I saw your message and then checked. Sure enough, it was showing $500. But now its back. Its as if the deal reset at midnight. Watch for it to officially end in 24 hours at midnight. But you were definitely right.....for a moment price did reset

This is 3800R. Not much difference from a flat monitor.
Quote from bill875 :
It is subtle, but it is so much more natural to use than my completely flat Samsung 34" LS34J552WQNXZA. I've also used a Dell S3422DW and S3422DWG and the 1800R is just too much curve for my liking.
Quote from iShopper :
For me, 1800R was fine. I tried 1000R and that was way too much.
Wish it were 1800R. I have to step back 6-8 feet to see uniform brightness under all lighting condition.

Im using the usb-c for power, video and audio. If thats your only use case for the dock, I dont think the USB 2.0 is an issue?

Is there a way to run a second monitor in portrait with this using the built-in dock and the single USB-C to my laptop? Got this thinking it could take the place of my existing dock but looking like that's not the case.
Quote from ManuM3456 :
Looking for same
Unfortunately, all ports on the back are in, nothing out, no daisy chain. Kind of defeat the one cable dream since I'd like to run another portable monitor on the side.

I purchased one and was about to place another order and the price went back up. Just placed a second order. I am curious as the reason behind why it went back on sale, not that I am complaining.

I was able to apply a $10 and a $5 coupon on top of the rewards I had.

The below is true, and I can confirm that using a usb 3.2 certified usb-c to usb-c cable doesn't make a difference either. I have not tried a thunderbolt cable but I can't see how it would matter.

The usb-c to usb-c cable that comes in the box feels very well made and thicker than cheap usb cables. I would guess it's also usb 3.2.

Final answer on the hub thing. According to user manual
  • In order to use Ethernet in the PC, the USB-C cable must be connected to the PC.
  • When the USB C-C cable is connected between upstream port of monitor and Host PC, the Downstream port of monitor support USB 2.0 device
  • When the USB C-A cable is connected between upstream port of monitor and Host PC, the Downstream port of monitor support USB 3.0 device.
  • Monitor's network show up in Windows as Realtek USB GbE Family Controller, also tried latest Realtek driver
So,
  • If you use HDMI/DP for display and a USB C-A cable, you can get the hub in the back working on 3.0. But that probably defeats half the reasons of having this monitor.
  • If you want a clean setup with single USB-C cable, your network is capped at around 30-40M/s. Whether that's deal breaker, depends on everyone's use case.

Have fun deal hunting

Thanks OP. I talked myself off the ledge so many times in the past on 34" curved IPS wqhd monitors...I finally jumped.

I've got an m1 MacBook air. I recently got a d6000 dock from Dell that allows displaylink [synaptics.com] software to display out to a second monitor. Doubt that this monitor has it, but figured I would ask if anyone has tried, as I cannot seem to find the info
