You can also use Dual Controller to move mouse cross the two, haven't tried yet. But it's only possible on the same network. So if you have a home computer and company's laptop on VPN, it won't work.
- In order to use Ethernet in the PC, the USB-C cable must be connected to the PC.
- When the USB C-C cable is connected between upstream port of monitor and Host PC, the Downstream port of monitor support USB 2.0 device
- When the USB C-A cable is connected between upstream port of monitor and Host PC, the Downstream port of monitor support USB 3.0 device.
- Monitor's network show up in Windows as Realtek USB GbE Family Controller, also tried latest Realtek driver
So,Have fun deal hunting
Adding a link for reference.
This is incredibly stupid. Had some thunderbolt cables on order arriving today, but if that's true I'm returning these for sure. What a shame.
I have a D6000 dock and MacBook Air. This monitor does not have a DisplayLink chip like the D6000.

Anyone else run into this issue? any fixes?
I'm running the connection through a network switch which then uplinks to a Asus router. Never had problems on any computers or D6000 dock, so new issue for me with this new monitor... When it works, it works fine.
Weight should be the true limiting factor.

EDIT 2: Nope, it doesn't work. I now suspect I just have a faulty Network Port *but* at the slickdeal price I'll just live with it since I'm not sure it's worth the hassle to fix it.
EDIT: WELL, after turning "Deep Sleep Mode" Off, I network has been stable for an entire workday. I guess there's a firmware error where "Deep Sleep" starts too quickly.
I was having connection issues while the monitor was active (not standby), but I'll turn "Deep Sleep" off and see if that helps. It does say this in the manual.
• usB HuB functions will not work in standby mode while Deep sleep Mode is [Mode 2].
- There is a slight bit of distortion and I can detect audible white noise in the monitor's headphone jack when playing nothing. Most people will be fine with this but audiophiles will hate it.
- The headphone jack's volume can only be controlled using the joystick on the back of the monitor.
I plugged an Apple USB-C dongle into the monitor using USB-C-to-USB-A adapter and that sounds much cleaner. I'll use this setup since I can have better audio-pass-through while still having single-cable convenience for my laptop. The Apple USB-C dongle also allows software volume control so I don't have to reach behind the monitor.Sign up for a Slickdeals account to remove this ad.
I can move the monitor up and down with ease and it has a USB port on the base, which is a nice bonus. I have this mounted on the grommet hole of our sit/stand desk and it is great!
