It comes down to our daily habits, like having ice cream instead of a smoothie, watching a movie instead of gym, etc. It's just doing the easy things, staying in our comfort zone.
I share this as a fellow fat person - we all know what we need to do, but we choose not to. Perhaps the discomfort of fat shaming is a net positive if it motivates us to change? The health consequences of obesity are dire.

I'm 320. I've never needed medical equipment for my weight, and have always been heavy. I'm 6'3" and built like a linebacker (albeit a fat one). I frequently run into problems with weight limits. It absolutely sucks. Your experience isn't everyone's.
I don't know what it is made out of, but it all seems to be same material. Just got mine yesterday and too me they are great!
Boomer energy though. The increased rates of people being overweight in America has been increasing steadily even before the "abandonment" of fat shaming.
Because it is a choice to be fat.

My whole family
"Look fata$$, I love you but use my old plastic chair or step on a scale and prove you're 249 🤣" lol the only people I know that are over 250 are 6'2 and taller. Joking aside
Precisely. For those who claim fat is a choice and food is the cause, show me when in recent history our culture stopped being "food-positive" so we can even start to consider blaming body-positivity.

With this perspective, sounds like you are a far cry from too slick to quit. Not a judgement, just an observation.
Too slick to quit eating gummy bears? Guilty.
We also need to examine all the cheap processed garbage that a lot of people eat because it is cheaper than eating healthy.
