- $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
- $225,000 for heads of households
- $150,000 for all other filers
- The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

This is for the S, but any Tesla will be similar in rate variations across the states.
E.g. Anyone in CA can expect to pay thousands more for insurance vs cheaper states insuring a Tesla, on average.
Individual insurance quotes will depend on a slew of factors unique to you, but you can always get your current insurance company to quote.
If you're the accident prone type, don't expect EVs to be a better choice - they're far more expensive to fix, and the insurance companies are more prone to total out rather than dump tens of thousands into fixing some.
