There's a pattern with Tesla threads here. I don't care if you all wanna discuss the deal or the cars but it always turns into paaaages and paaaages of bickering back and forth and nobody ,except for the few involved, enjoy that or wanna wade through that. So cut that stuff out, please and thank you.
FYI just because it says "New" doesn't mean it qualifies for the 7500 tax credit. Demo models are new but do not qualify for 7500. If the specific inventory item qualifies it will directly say it on the site.

As soon as I can find a decent new EV that I can own in 5, possibly 6, years after a monthly payment of $300 with $0 down, I'll buy it. I almost caved and bought the Bolt, but couldn't get over how terrible they looked on the outside.

Every friend of mine that owns a Tesla absolutely loves it & they rave about how great it is all the time Like it or not EV's are the future & you'd think everyone would love saving tons of money on gas with top notch tech, but we live amongst absolute morons embarrassing America daily!
I'm still daily driving my 2001 car I paid $2k for 12 years ago. I guess I'm the moron you are referring to. I have nothing against the concept of an EV at all. Waiting for it to settle down. Based on the price drops alone and quality of some brands models I have no regrets waiting.
I've been shopping these for a week very seriously and I'm a little disappointed that they're $1,000 more then they were just a week ago. There are a few fewer spiffs on it now as well. I sure wish this had Android auto instead of requiring a stupid package at $100 subscription a year to have some Tesla OS features unlocked like being able to see traffic on a map. Still, it appears to be the best deal around for a good EV. I sure wish Hyundai qualified for the $7500 off on purchases!

For the sake of transparency and a good read, would you mind posting some links on these statements? I'm sure others are also curious to know more.
So full disclosure, I drove a Volt for a decade and have an EV6 now. I have always wondered why there isn't a 500 mile range Accord out now dominating the market. This excellent video really breaks down why Japan rejected EVs better than I ever could... Harakiri[youtube.com] The future grift was my own sleuthing. When Toyota started losing market share in the US (almost exactly equal to EV sale growth), all the "Hey, we got solid state batteries coming, trust us. Buy a hybrid while you wait" press releases started. My BS meter went off immediately and I looked up who actually is "making' these never demonstrated batteries. Idemitsu. A company literally described in almost every story and wiki as "Japanese petroleum giant". Also, check out the image in this story and tell me what you think it is (not British Petroleum)... BP[world-energy.org]. It's seems almost obvious what's going to happen. They'll collect like a trillion Yen in subsidies (the board is full of former Toyota and Honda execs), build a bunch of factories with no product to make, throw up their hands in five to ten years saying they tried (just like hydrogen), and then buy Rivian or something.

So there is a loophole if you can handle paying for the car in full or have like a credit union with a great rate. Look into the EV lease early buy out loophole. Basically, the car dealerships set it up so the new EV rebate still pays them regardless of where the vehicle was built and you typically can get them to pass it on to you (minus the lease set up/early termination fees... usual about 1K and any interest generated while you're paying it off). We did this on my wife's Genesis and paid it off in under a month all online without much hassle.
